My Take on Wine, Culture, & Community

Bringing wine education into culture and lifestyle

When I started thinking about what Wine Culture Club could be, I kept coming back to one idea. What if a wine experience felt like a real night out?

A Night Out, But Make it Wine

An evening where you learned something new, had a great time, and left looking forward to the next event.  Where the wine was the centerpiece, and the music, the conversation, and the people in the room were just as much a part of the experience.

That is the experience I set out to build. And it is what makes Wine Culture Club something different.

Wine Education Can Actually Be a Vibe

Every WCC event opens the same way. Guests are greeted with a welcome glass of sparkling wine, R&B is playing, and hugs are shared throughout the room. Then I grab everyone's attention the only way that feels right to me.

"Everybody say heyyy Ms. Jessica." A nod to Queen Bey, and the signal that we are about to have some fun.

From there, we explore wine together. One country at a time, we cover the foundation, smell through the notes, and taste through the wines. It’s fun and light-hearted, and everyone walks away having learned something.

And from there, the party begins.

This is my approach to every tasting, and what grounds what I’m building. I'm here to guide you. To give you the foundation, the context, the “brass tacks,” and a dope vibe.   In the end, it’s all about enjoying the experience.

The Moment I Knew I Was Walking in My Purpose

There was a moment during Jon B’s performance for Wine & R&B Wednesday at Dumbo House when I finally paused.

I looked around the room.  People were singing, smiling, and swaying from side to side with a glass of wine in hand.  Just before this, they were asking questions about Italian reds and why Barolo is the king of Nebbiolo.

I cried.  Because I realized I was finally walking in my purpose.

That spirit is what Wine Culture Club is built on.

We show up in spaces where culture lives, through live music, art, theatre, and community,  and we bring quality wine and education with us.  We meet our members where they are, in ways that resonate with them.

This is a different kind of wine club and I can't wait for you to be part of it.

Join the club.

XO,

Jess
